Vitamin C Citrus power smoothie

Vitamin C citrus power smoothie is an easy quick vegan smoothie, perfect for breakfast or snack.

Easy, light smoothie.


  • juice from 1 large red / pink grapefruit
  • juice from 1 large orange
  • juice from 12 blood oranges
  • juice from 3 clementines (or tangerines)
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 2 TBSPs hemp hearts
  • 80120ml (1/3 to 1/2 cup) plant milk (I use rice-coconut)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanila extract (optional)


  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth, about a minute. Taste to see if you want anything else, then pour in a glass and enjoy!


The full amount of all the juices combined was about 400ml (1 2/3 cups) and the end size of the smoothie was about 500ml (1 pint).

This smoothie is only naturally sweetened, but if you find the grapefruit to be super bitter and overpowering you can add maple syrup, agave syrup or similar to the smoothie.
