Berry beet smoothie

Avocado citrus berry beet smoothie - 3 recipes - aren't just pretty but are really healthy too! Purify and detox your body and start the day the vibrant way. Great breakfast or snack option. | @mitzyathome

Very easy and cozy!


  • 100g (1 cup | 3.5oz) frozen blueberries
  • 130g (1 cup | 4.5 oz) frozen strawberries
  • 70g (1/2 cup | 2.5oz) frozen raspberries
  • 1 ripe fresh or frozen banana
  • 3 pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 240ml (1 cup) pure (all-natural) beet juice
  • 150g (1/2 cup) plain Greek yogurt

Optional toppings

  • Greek or regular yogurt
  • honey
  • sliced banana
  • berries – frozen or fresh
  • hemp hearts
  • chia seeds
  • coconut chips
  • nut butter
  • granola or puffed quinoa or similar


  1. Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until completely smooth and creamy. Taste to see if you want more dates or liquids. Blend once more if needed, then divide smoothie between two glasses and serve.
  2. Alternately, you can turn this into one big serving, topped with more fruit, for a hearty but healthy breakfast.


You can also sneak in some spinach for extra nutrients! The beets and berries will hide it, so you won’t even know it’s there!

If you can’t find chia seeds in your grocery store, Amazon has a nice selection. The same goes for hemp hearts, and basically all the superfoods!
