  1. Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until completely smooth and creamy. Taste to see if you want more dates or liquids. Blend once more if needed, then divide smoothie between two glasses and serve.
  2. Alternately, you can turn this into one big serving, topped with more fruit, for a hearty but healthy breakfast.


As you adjust to the taste of beets in smoothies, you can add more. If you’re just starting out, you can use 1/2 beet or add more citrus or bananas.
