Happy New Year!
I hope not all of you had to work on New Year’s Eve and I hope you did something fun and ate a lot of good food. We’re in 2016 now and when looking back at 2015 all I can say is that it was a great year and I hope this one is even better.
I think we’ve created quite a community here. I love seeing more of you come each day, I love it when you cook something and share it with me, you’re all amazing! I really enjoy cooking and creating, and I promise to share even more this year. The list of ideas is never-ending and I can’t wait to see where I end up, with all of you right by my side.
But let’s turn back to 2015 for a few seconds. I created a list of your favorite recipes and divided that into three categories – drinks, savory, sweet recipes. Overall it looks like you have a sweet tooth just like me, you love lasagna and savory pancakes as much as I do! The absolute winner among drinks is my mulled white wine and it makes perfect sense, because we all need a little bit of that in our lives, right?
And before I dive into your 15 favorite recipes, I have to say my personal favorite are the Triple chocolate crepes (pictured above). I, of course, love all the recipes, but I just can’t live without crepes and Nutella.
- Savory crepes with mushroom ragout and eggs
- Easy creamed spinach lasagna
- Apple millet porridge
- Savory pancakes with a fried egg and spinach
- Vegetarian chickpea lasagna Bolognese
Lots of pancakes and lasagna for you! I did include one breakfast item, which is the millet porridge because so many of you loved this one. It’s not really savory nor sweet and depending on your taste, it can lean either way, so I put it in this list.
- Very blueberry layer cake
- Kiwi lime loaf cake with yogurt
- Orange infused sweet ricotta peach cookies
- Walnut mushroom cookies
- Pear pancakes with yogurt and honey
Here, the absolute winner were the ricotta peach cookies, although you loved all the cakes too. And just like with the savory recipe list, I included a breakfast item too. The Pear pancakes lean more towards the sweet side and you all really enjoyed this recipe, so I thought including it made sense.
- Macadamia iced coffee with vanilla syrup
- Mulled white wine
- Elderflower blueberry lime virgin cocktail
- Total Comfort apple smoothie
- Homemade chocolate liqueur
Cheers! That is all I can say. You guys enjoy a variety of drinks, as do I and I hope to share a lot more this year.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you that come to this little blog every day to see what’s new. While I would still do what I do even if no one came around, knowing you’re here makes me feel a lot better. And if you ever have any recipes you’d like to see on the blog or general ideas, please do let me know. I love your feedback.
